Shayla & David - Classic Love and Classic Cars

A couple poses on their wedding day by a classic Oldsmobile car

Their love is timeless. They have the romantic kind of love you watch in the movies. Shayla and David's wedding was filled with laughter and tears from beginning to end. Emotion filled the day.

Shayla began the day surrounded by her parents and closest friends, getting ready in a beautiful gown and gorgeous accessories that all helped to fulfill the traditional components of something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.  Her bridesmaids wore beautiful cobalt blue dresses which suited the day and Shayla's style perfectly.  We met David and his groomsmen at Red Deer Lake United church for the ceremony where they were all decked out in grey suits with blue shirts and individualized Vans or Converse shoes to add the unique factor that was evident throughout the day. It shows just how much fun this couple had planning and organizing their wedding!

David is an avid car enthusiast, so it was no surprise that one of the things we talked about when we first sat down to discuss their wedding, was the possibility of having some photos taken with his classic car. Later, we moved to the reception site at Sundance Lake Lodge in South Calgary where we also had a beautiful backdrop for photos.

This couple is so in love and has such a loving family, that there was no shortage of emotion and tears during the speeches over supper. However, this crew also knows how to party and taking photos during the dance was an absolute blast!!

Shayla and David, thank you so much for allowing me to be a small part of your amazing day.

Love,
-Em

Delightful Daughters - Liesch Family Session

What a joy it was to photograph this family! First I had the chance to take some fun newborn photos of their youngest daughter, then we brought the older sisters in and really had some fun. I love the smiles, the laughter, the energy that comes from photographing young families. So much love and giggly little moments. We took a small walk to the park as well, and captured some authentic moments with all the members of the family.  Please take a moment to just enjoy! :)
