From start to finish, this was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and joy. Kassie and Nathan are an amazing couple that are so full of love for each other, it is no surprise that their wedding day was amazing. I was lucky enough to capture images of their entire day from start to finish. Kassie and her girls were already full of giggles getting their hair and makeup done when I got there, and Nathan and his boys were kicking back before the excitement of the day in his brother's backyard.
The ceremony took place at Red Deer Lake United Church, which is nestled in the foothills southwest of Calgary and set against a spectacular Rocky Mountain backdrop. Let me tell you, the beauty of the scenery was nothing in comparison to how beautiful Kassie looked as she was escorted down the aisle by her dad, to meet Nathan at the front of the church.
We were very lucky to be able to use the Red Deer Lake School for some fun and unique photos. This tiny little one room schoolhouse had a special connection to Kassie and her family, as this was the school where Kassie's own grandmother completed her first teaching practicum! Talk about something being meant to be! Wow.
Later in the afternoon, cocktails and the reception was held nearby at Red Deer Lake Community Center. The toasts and speeches had everyone in stitches from laughing, as family members shared stories from both Nathan and Kassie's childhood.
The newlyweds took to the dance floor to have their first dance, followed by heartwarming dances with their parents, and then the party started! And boy did everyone have fun!
