Generations of Love - Family Photos in Canmore

What an honor to photograph this family in Canmore this summer! They picked a phenomenal location with a stunning mountain backdrop, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  I like to photograph the group first while all the children involved are in a great mood and then take some "in the moment" candids of both the kids and adults.  What a photogenic family! Love & Laughter - David & Shayla - Big Hills Springs Provincial Park Engagement

What a pleasure it was to take David & Shayla's engagement photos a couple weeks ago at the very beautiful and scenic Big Hill Springs Provincial Park just north of Calgary. This was a very special spot for this adorable couple, as it was where David proposed to Shayla a year ago.
These two are so in love, and they share an amazing sense of humor. We had a blast during the photo session. We laughed. We climbed up hills. We stood on rock ledges. There was no end to the fun we had!

Emily & John - Calgary Golf & Country Club Australian/Canadian Wedding

What an amazing wedding this was!
Emily is originally from Calgary. She grew up here, went to school here. In fact, much to our surprise upon our initial meeting to discuss photography for the wedding, it turns out that we actually have mutual friends in common. (It really is such a small world!)
John is from Melbourne, Australia, and he and Emily met while she was still living in Sydney. As it turns out Emily ended up moving to Melbourne, and well... you know the rest of that story. ;)
They currently live in Australia, but flew back to Calgary for their wedding.
Emily and I conversed back and forth through email, navigating the 19 hour time difference, discussing wedding plans, and the day that I met her and John for the first time a week prior to their wedding day, I immediately felt like I was sitting down for coffee with good friends.
These two are amazing. They are so kind and friendly, and this is obvious by the constant smiles that they have on their faces, and the amazing friends they have that traveled from all over the world to attend their wedding.

Birthday Buddies Photo Session

I've photographed this trio before, and every time it just gets better and better.  We have so much fun, and these three are particularly special to me because we share a birthday and get to celebrate by taking their photos every year around that time. As they've grown they have become much more mobile, which indeed, makes for a high energy photo session.  But as they have gotten older, they also have begun to show way more of their individual personalities. I LOVE that!! I think you'll see what I mean when you look at their pictures.
